Located midst in the heart of St.Gallen in the Bankgasse 7,
just a few steps from the Hotel Vadian
you will find our Dependance Pförtnerhof. The historic ambiente of the building paired with up to date comfort will turn your trip to St. Gallen into a memorable experience.
The hotel rooms are located on the first and second floor. The two bay window rooms or "Erkerzimmer" hover above the historic alley, as Brigitte Schmid-Gugler writes in her book "Turmgeschichten" (ed. tower stories).
The two large historic rooms on the ground floor and the basement are ideal for events, family gatherings, small conferences or meetings.
The Dependance Pförtnerhof was built in 1578 by Daniel Studer as a service building for the house "Rose. As Brigitte Schmid-Gugler, writes, this late gothic timberframed house is regarded as one of the most important Tudorstyle houses in St. Gallen. The house was owned by several prominent families in the city. In more recent years the first and second stories were used of the former "Hotel im Portner". Since 2007 the Dependance Pförtnerhof has become part of the Hotel Vadian.
